Configuring Security Settings for Application Installer

This topic describes the procedure to configure security settings for installing an Application.

Before you begin this task:
You must have the role of a systemAdmin to configure security settings.

Signed Applications ensure integrity of applications and also assure the identity of the signing authority. To prevent installation of tampered applications, Process Platform provides certain default security settings. You can change the default security settings as follows:

  1. On CUSP > My Applications, click (Security Administration). The Security Administration window appears.
  2. Select the Code Signing tab.
    For information on the fields in this tab, refer to Security Settings.

    It is recommended to leave the settings as Disallow.

  3. In the Validity of Application Signature area, select the settings for the applications that will be installed. Note that the settings for Unsigned applications is dependent on the settings for the Tampered applications option. The following table provides the options available for the Unsigned applications field for each setting of the Tampered applications option:

  4. Select settings for the signing certificates in the Validity of Signing Certificate area.
  5. Click to save.
    The security settings are saved.
